For four years Doug was a syndicated cartoonist with Creators Syndicate and his comic, Raw Material was published in The New York
Daily News, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Aspen, Toronto and Detroit just to name a few. Doug most recently completed writing and
directing the Off Broadway New York premiere of his stageplay Sealed for Freshness-which has recently been published by Samuel
French. Doug was fortunate enough to write and direct the late Maureen Stapleton in her last feature film, Living and Dining, and
before that he developed marketing promotions for such companies as Captain Morgan, RJ Reynolds, Budweiser, Martini and Rossi,
Cadillac and Hawaiian Tropic. He’s been a freelance writer for Comedy Central and Time Warner and most recently his screenplay,
Playing the Martyr,and television pilot, Back to One, have been finalists in two worldwide writer’s contests. His full-length plays
include: Leveling the Pulse, Betting the Longshot (finalists in Writer’s Digest international stage - play competition), Blame and
Glue Trap. Doug continues to write Raw Material and anticipates publishing the first Raw Material compilation book sometime in 2009.
